Cava Cocktail: Very Cold, Bubbly, and Lovely!

This cava cocktail is perfect for every hour of the day. It is a drink that is very popular in my family's celebrations, especially during weddings. This is the best way to welcome a night of partying!
Remember you need to serve this in a flute glass.
More than one might know that Cava needs to be drunk while it is cold, but without using ice in the glass. This is because you don't want it to lose any property and the fantastic and bubbly effect. Just keep in mind that Cava and ice are not good friends. At least inside the glass.
If you don't know much about Cava I will share a bit with you. This is a bubbly wine from Penedés (Spain). The traditional way to prepare it is very similar to the champagne preparation process (better know as the mèthode champenoise). The thing is that champagne is an exclusive drink from France, Cava from Spain, and Prosecco from Italy! Is more a matter of geography and names, because the process is very similar.
The creators of the Cava were named Francesc Gil and Domènec Soberano, both from a place in Spain named Reus. They properly introduced this drink back in 1868 at the Universal Exposition in Paris.
There are several variations for this Cava cocktails:
- Cava cocktail with orange juice
- Cava cocktail with strawberries
- Cava cocktail with grenadine
Remember you need to serve this in a flute glass.
How to prepare it?
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 bit of Angostura
- 15 ml of brandy
- Cold Cava
Preparation:
- Place the sugar on the bottom of the glass and add the Angostura and the Brandy.
- Fill the rest of the glass with the cold (this is very important) Cava. Don't use ice, remember what I told you before.
Enjoy and cheers!
