Octopus and fish "ceviche": a dish to make your mouth water
Likes: 2

On this post we are going to learn how to prepare a delicious octopus and fish "ceviche", but before I'm going to explain what "ceviche" means. This is the way to prepare RAW fish or seafood by marinating them with two important ingredients: onion and lemon juice.
The first time I tried ceviche I was delighted by the freshness of its flavor, it happened at a family party. I have a big family: 6 brothers and sisters, and one of my brothers married a Peruvian girl, so she brought some ceviche with her because this is a classic dish from her country. It was the star dish of the night!
It's very important to say that to prepare a good ceviche you need very fresh white fish, but if you don't like white fish very much you can use salmon for a change.
Personally, I LOVE Peruvian cuisine because it has tons of flavors and textures that will take control of your taste buds. This upcoming recipe is very easy to prepare and I recommend it for those sunny and hot days because this will give you the freshness you'll need.
This octopus and fish ceviche is served with red peppers and onion this is why it's just a tad different from the original version, but I'm sure you are gonna love it as much as I do!!

Preparation time: approximately 45 minutes

2. Add the fish (chopped in small cubes) into a bowl and squeeze some lemon juice on it. Mix well.
3. Let it rest for 20 minutes in the fridge and let the fish cook slowly with the lemon juice. The color of the fish will star changing from pink to white.
4. Now it's time to add the octopus, that you previously cooked by boiling it for 10 minutes.
5. Now, my beloved cooks, you must mix everything very well and let the preparation rest in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
6. Add some thinly chopped coriander, the onion and the red pepper (both cut in julienne)
7. Mix everything again and add a bit of Tabasco, salt, and pepper.

Finally, it's time to serve the octopus and fish ceviche! You can serve over some lettuce leaves or with toasted bread or tortillas.
